An Opera about “A city built on greed and lust”

Listen in to conductor David Brophy with Marty Whelan on RTE Lyric FM discussing the iconic Weill/ Brecht opera The Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny, which created controversy everywhere it went.

The talented cast is announced including Claudia Boyle, Anne Marie Gibbon, John Molloy, Ross Scanlon, Julian Hubbard, Christopher Cull, Eamonn Mulhall, Julian Tovey and Andrew Boushell.  David describes the immediacy of this exciting new co-production by Rough Magic and OTC, recipient of a SKY Arts Ignition award, which will be staged in the Olympia for six performances only in June.
