Life on the Moon

Have you ever imagined a place where you could do just as you wanted , whatever you wanted, and nobody would blame you....?
Life on the Moon is the new English version of Haydn's most successful comic opera , in which a gallery of unsavoury charcters dupe an old miser into thinking he has made a trip to the Moon. The moon is a charming place where all tastes are catered for -until in a breathtaking finale the game is wound uom, and earthly vices look very much like vices agin.
A comedy of love , lust , and deception, Life on the Moon's rich and varied music offers splendid roles for Majella Cullagh, Collete McGahon, James Nelson, Harry Nicoll, and Chris Purves.Andrew Synnott conducts the Opera Theatre Orchestra, in a production directed by Hilary Westlake, lit by Simon Corder and designed by architect David Looby
The Opera Theatre Company and Opera Northern Ireland's first co-production since Hansel and Gretal (1991) is a BT Opera Your , extending to a dozen venues north and south of the borde.
