Ross Scanlon

Ross Scanlon began his vocal studies with Ms Ann-Marie O Sullivan at the age of 14 and is currently studying with Dr. Robert Alderson and Mary Scarlett, Repetiteur at the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama. Although only 21, Ross is in demand as a soloist in both the classical and musical theatre fields in the Wicklow and Dublin area. In 2006 he was signed as one of 'The Young Irish Tenors' and completed his 2nd extensive Irish and European tour last summer with the National Dance Company of Ireland. Ross had great success in 2008 winning the Oratorio cup, Adult Irish Air and the Men’s Solo cup and Gold Medal at the Arklow Music Festival and then went on to win the Thomas Moore Cup, The Tenor Solo Cup and Gold Medal and the prestigious Count John McCormack Cup and Silver Medal for overall best male singer at the Feis Ceol 2008. Ross Scanlon is a member of OTC’s Young Assoicate Artists’ Programme.
